Calisen has agreed to acquire Advizzo, a company specialising in the provision of a software as a service platform for energy and water smart meter data, as it continues its mission to deliver Smarter Energy for All.  Advizzo operates internationally with customers based in the UK, USA, UAE, France, Italy and New Zealand.

Advizzo uses data science techniques to interpret smart meter data and send personalised communications to motivate consumers to change their energy and water consumption behaviour. It also provides the capability for energy and water companies to have a sophisticated aggregated near real time view of their customers’ utility usage therefore gaining benefits from the deployment of smart meters.

Bringing Advizzo within the group will provide Calisen with the ability to widen its range of services to its smart meter customers and access new markets across the water sector and some specific international jurisdictions. Advizzo will also be able to access the broader range of customers, asset ownership and installation skills and other capabilities Calisen already provide to the energy sector, therefore accelerating its own growth. Both companies are aligned in their strategy to help the end consumer manage their own journey towards net zero through the provision of skills, resources, and infrastructure.

Sean Latus, Calisen’s Group Chief Executive Officer, said “This is an exciting progression for Calisen in our mission to deliver Smarter Energy for All. Advizzo’s data analytics technology provides consumers with personalised insights into their energy and water use, giving them more control over their spending and consumption. Furthermore, Advizzo’s capabilities in the water sector provides the Calisen Group with an opportunity to expand its capabilities to also assist water companies with their Net Zero goals, contributing to a greener and cleaner environment. I would like to welcome our new colleagues and I am confident that working with Calisen’s team they will achieve great results”.

Commenting on the transaction, Patrice Guillouzic, Advizzo CEO and cofounder, said “We are delighted to join forces with Calisen to continue to accelerate the growth of innovative software solutions to even more Utilities and as many consumers as possible in the UK and overseas. With Calisen, we will continue optimising consumers’ electricity, gas and water consumption and having a positive impact using behavioural and data science”.
