Advizzo is delighted to announce that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD). TDPUD provides electric power to 14,100 customers and water services to 13,200 customers in the Nevada and Placer Counties. Truckee is an incorporated town in Nevada County, California nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountain range 12 miles north of Lake Tahoe. The area enjoys warm, dry summers with average temperatures of between 40 -79 degrees Fahrenheit, but is also the fifth snowiest city in the United States – with an average of over 200 inches of snowfall annually.
The 15 month innovation project is focused on improving customer engagement across TDPUD’s water and electric consumer base in order to help customers reduce their consumption and decarbonize their homes. TDPUD is eager to assist customers’ in making behavioural changes to reduce their water and power consumption, while developing a sustainable mountain lifestyle. Advizzo’s data science and behavioural science-based customer engagement platform solutions will empower TDPUD customers to make sustainable adjustments to their water and power consumption patterns through personalised data insights and advice.
TDPUD also has a longer term objective – to help its customers make their homes carbon neutral. The District is developing decarbonisation programs which will make low carbon technologies and appliances more accessible to its customers. TDPUD hopes to leverage Advizzo’s enhancements to its customer service model to better understand how customers perceive current beneficial electrification technologies, what factors are limiting their adoption, and what technologies are naturally being adopted. This critical information will help the District inform its decarbonisation program(s) going forward.
